Following two years of cancellations for the Hong Kong International Jewellery Show, organizers at Informa Markets made the difficult decision to shift the event to Singapore for a one-off event – praising the new location for its ability to provide an accessible and secure in-person experience, despite the imposed 7% GST.
Beginning on 27 Sep and concluding 30 Sep, ALAHMAR's finest creations were turning heads at booth 4(F1)0 'pun-intended', under the Thai Pavilion in the fair which welcomed just shy of 1,000 exhibitors from more than 30 countries and 11,125 buyers from 97 countries. ALAHMAR forged new business relationships with customers from Singapore, S. Korea, Australia, France, Egypt, Qatar, Japan, Indonesia and even Thailand, as strong industry recovery gets underway..
“ Our community can rest assured that Hong Kong will be ready to deliver the full JGW experience in 2023 when conditions allow for safe and responsible in-person interactions, and international travel restrictions are lifted.” ~ Celine Lau, Director Informa Markets
Despite the fiasco of exhibitors move-in day with unprepared local contractors, electrical shortages and a 5 hours long badge queue, Singapore’s beautifully clean, modern and easy to navigate cityscape provided an excellent backdrop to the international trade’s largest gathering since the beginning of the pandemic – with the roar of the Formula 1 V6 engines in the background of the show provoking plenty of conversation about the potential for a return to Singapore in 2023. A potential that will however disappear as soon as the industry's sweetheart, Asia's world city opens up again.
ALAHMAR's masterfully crafted pieces were described by Australia & New Zealand's No. 1 jewellery publication; Jeweller Magazine, as:
"Stands out from traditional jewellery and appeals to the younger generation."
And was presented by JewelleryNET's 'Show Daily' by JNA as:
"ALAHMAR Co Ltd is making diamonds and coloured gemstones shine even more in its innovative Ceramond Collection. Using modern high-quality ceramic materials in conjunction with gold, diamond and precious gemstones."
The new collection was also featured at the latest edition of The New Jeweller UAE .
We thank all clients, partners, industry leaders and influencers who visited us. And as a part of our international aspiration.
